Practice:
Samantha has particular expertise in employment law and tribunal advocacy, appearing for businesses, public bodies, trade organisations and private individuals. Her experience provides a balanced, pragmatic and thorough approach to litigation.
Her practice covers all aspects of employment law including discrimination, working time, wages claims, whistle blowing, redundancy and unfair dismissal. She regularly appears in multi-day actions and is accustomed to handling cases involving individuals and groups of workers (recently including 20 Polish claimants without an interpreter!).
Her knowledge of personal injury law is particularly useful when advising in respect of such claims in the employment field and issues arising from the Protection from Harassment Act 1997. She also undertakes non-contentious drafting including employment contracts, termination and compromise agreements.
Samantha is known for her friendly and down to earth manner. She provides clear, robust advice and is sensitive to the concerns and needs of her clients.
Samantha regularly presents seminars on a wide variety of topics. Recent seminars include Practice and Procedure in the Employment Tribunal, Unfair Dismissal, Pension Claims in the Employment Tribunal and Age Discrimination. She is available for in-house and Chambers-based seminars on request.
