Carolyn Johnson practices exclusively in all aspects of public and private family law involving children in all areas of the Family and High Court.
She represents parents, grandparents, and children, Children’s Guardians and Local Authorities and the Police with expertise in public law care cases including adoption.
In private law proceedings Carolyn has extensive experience of complex child arrangement disputes, injunctions, child abduction and applications to leave the jurisdiction and internal relocation.
Due to her long association with adoption issues as a member of Blackburn Diocesan Adoption agency and previously as a panel member of Lancashire's Adoption panel and now as Chairman of Adoption Matters, she has a wide and practical knowledge as well as legal expertise of adoption services in this country and abroad.
She represented the parents in the reported case of:"Re E (Care Proceedings: Social Work Practice) [2000] 2FLR 254]"Carolyn has enjoyed a variety of employment including public appointments which have included serving as Chairman of the Lancashire Teaching Hospital NHS Trust and is still a Board member of numerous voluntary and charitable committees.She is also a member of the General Synod and Deputy Chancellor of Rochester Diocese.
