Marc Willems represented the family of the deceased at an Inquest at North London Coroners Court touching the death of their young son, Erjon Hyseni, who climbed through a defective fence at a fairground and tragically was fatally injured.
After an emotive high profile 12 day Coroner's Inquest, the Jury found as a fact that:
" Erjon passed through a gap between unconnected fences".
The Jury's finding that Erjon went through unconnected fences was despite 7 live witnesses claiming that the fences had only recently been checked and had to be pulled apart after the accident.
The verdict has far reaching implications for Healthy and Safety Laws regarding fences.
