Housing Law: Gary Lewis & Paul Whatley successfully respond to proposed Supreme Court Appeal

On 2nd November 2016, the Supreme Court (Lord Neuberger, Lord Carnwath and Lord Hodge) dismissed the Appellant -landlord’s application for permission to appeal the decision of the Court of Appeal in the case of City West Housing Trust -v-Lindsey Massey [2016] EWCA Civ 704.

In doing so, the Supreme Court considered the notice of objection and written submissions settled by Gary Lewis, led by Paul Whatley instructed by Stephensons Solicitors, who represented the successful Respondent-tenant at first instance, on first appeal and in the Court of Appeal.
