Nick Flanagan appointed as Crown Court Recorder


Cobden House Chambers are delighted to announce that Nick Flanagan has been appointed a Crown Court Recorder.

Nick is one of 163 new recorders appointed by the King on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, The Right Honourable Alex Chalk KC MP, and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, The Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

The appointments will take effect from 30 May 2023 and Nick has been appointed to sit on the Northern Circuit.

This is a part-time position that will run alongside Nick’s existing practice in which he continues to specialise in Crime, Inquests, and Employment.
