Rebecca Hirst obtains a finding of fundamental dishonesty following a multitrack trial heard before HHJ Carmel Wall. Having heard the evidence and submissions from counsel the court concluded that the claim was staged and, therefore, both the claim and the claimant were fundamentally dishonest. The claimant was ordered to pay the costs of the trial which can be fully enforced.
