Abigail Holt successful at the General Medical Council

Abigail Holt has successfully represented a doctor who was investigated by the GMC for self-prescribing medication in the name of a patient during a period of acute stress arising out of problems with a premier league football team who had previously employed him and following whistleblowing by a close relative. The Medical Practitioners Tribunal considered all options, including erasure from the medical register, but was persuaded to suspend the doctor from medical practice for 6 months.
