Profile

Peter joined Chambers in 2021. Prior to joining us, Peter was in an in-house Solicitor Advocate for Morton’s Solicitors.

Peter was called to the Bar in 1999. After being called to the Bar he became a project manager for a successful retail business, using his skills in implementing rollouts of several new projects that improved the productivity of the Company he was with.

Peter returned to the Law by cross qualifying as a Solicitor and became a Duty Solicitor and Supervising Solicitor. On a regular basis Peter would represent individuals at the Police Station as he was qualified as an accredited police station representative, and he would deal with all manner of cases in the Courts, having built a successful criminal practice. As a Solicitor Advocate Peter defended in the Magistrates and Crown Court in all hearings, and often appeared in the Court of Appeal, appealing sentences.

Peter built a reputation of being a dedicated defence lawyer, someone who could amass information quickly, and relate to individual experiences. He is a well known effective advocate with excellent interpersonal and advocacy skills.

At Cobden House Chambers, Peter is able to continue the excellent work he started as a Solicitor and use his advocacy skills to assist his clients. He enjoys a busy criminal practice both prosecuting and defending in all Courts. Having been a Solicitor Advocate, Peter is especially aware of exactly what instructing Solicitors and clients require, and the importance of keeping all parties updated in a case.
