Director of Clerking - Having been in the legal profession for his entire career, Martin has a wealth of experience stretching across all fields of work undertaken by Chambers. Martin began his clerking career at 8 King Street Chambers in 1995. He joined Cobden House Chambers in 2005 having taken a year out travelling and playing cricket in Australia.

Steven has been with chambers since March 2005 Clerking the Civil/Family team after spending two years at St Johns Buildings. In December 2020 Steven became Senior Civil Clerk / Deputy Director of Clerking . Steven has successfully completed a BTEC in Chambers Administration and also completed an HNC in Business Studies at the University of Bolton.

Andrew joined Chambers in 2001 as an office junior and has steadily worked his way up the ladder, eventually taking on the role of Senior Criminal Clerk in 2018.

Senior Civil Clerk (Special Responsibility for Business & Property and Family) Christina has been clerking since 1997 and joined chambers in 2007. She is the Senior Civil Clerk with special responsibility for Business & Property and Family matters.

Jamie Conwell

Deputy Senior Criminal Clerk. Jamie began his clerking career in 2010 as Junior Criminal Clerk at Kenworthy’s Chambers. He then went on to join Deans Court Chambers in 2014 as a Criminal Clerk where he spent 4 years clerking the Crime and Regulatory teams. In April 2018 Jamie was appointed Deputy Senior Criminal Clerk at Cobden House Chambers. Here, he works alongside an experienced clerking team, assisting with the smooth running of the criminal diary and is responsible for the promotion of Chambers.

Colin Joined Chambers in March 2021 from Deanscourt Chambers. Colin began his career in 2003 at St John's Buildings Colin is responsible for the day to day diary management of the Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence departments.

Civil Clerk - Personal Injury. Daniel Joined Cobden House Chambers as a Junior Civil Clerk in 2017 having previously work at Kings Chambers in Manchester for 5 years.

Mitch joined Cobden House Chambers straight from college as an Office Junior in October 2019, after achieving an A-Level in law. Mitch was promoted to Civil Clerk for the Personal Injury / Clinical Negligence department in January 2021, before joining the Business & Property / Family department in September 2022.

Junior Civil Clerk Sarah joined the Chambers in 2022 straight from the University of Manchester, where she completed a masters degree in Instrumental and Vocal Composition.

Business & Property / Family Clerking Assistant Annabel joined Cobden House Chambers in 2022. Prior to joining Chambers, Annabel attended the University of Edinburgh where she obtained a first-class degree in History, specialising in genocide studies. She currently splits her time between Chambers and studying the GDL part-time.

Paris McDermott

Paris McDermott

Paris began her clerking career in 2020 as a Clerking Assistant at Deans Court Chambers where she later progressed on to becoming a Civil Clerk for two years. She joined Cobden House Chambers in January 2024 in the Criminal team where she works alongside an experienced clerking team as a Junior Criminal Clerk, assisting with the day-to-day running of the diary.
