Deputy Senior Criminal Clerk
Jamie joined Chambers in 2018 and brings over 15 years of clerking experience, having previously held roles at two well-established Chambers in Manchester. He plays a key role in the smooth operation of the Criminal Team.
His approach to diary management has become a trusted part of the team’s smooth and consistent performance, which ensures the efficient coordination of court listings and barristers’ workloads. He’s known for his calm, approachable manner and ability to respond quickly and effectively to the demands of a busy practice, and takes pride in delivering a high standard of service, with a focus on long-term practice development.
Outside of Chambers, Jamie is a dedicated long-distance runner and outdoor enthusiast. Much of his spare time is spent training or exploring the countryside with his Cavapoo, Daphne. He has taken part in a wide range of charity events—including the Yorkshire Three Peaks, several half and full marathons, and other endurance challenges—raising significant funds for causes close to him. He is currently training for his biggest challenge yet. An ultra-marathon!
In his spare time, he attempts to remain fit by running for charities, having achieved a personal best for the Manchester Half Marathon in 2017. He is also a season ticket holder at Old Trafford.
