Lekietia is currently undertaking pupillage in the Business & Property and Housing departments, under the supervision of Sam Keeling-Roberts. She will be available to instruct from April 2025.
Lekietia has had the benefit of observing a variety of matters which fall within the umbrella of Business & Property and Housing. This includes possession proceedings, contractual disputes, trespass, disrepair, dilapidations, unlawful eviction, anti-social behaviour injunctions, and committal proceedings. She has also observed matters in the First Tier Tribunal, as well as defamation and probate proceedings.
Prior to commencing pupillage, Lekietia worked as a County Court advocate. In this role, she gained practical experience managing a variety of civil disputes in the County Court and attended almost 500 hearings. During her time as an advocate, Lekietia handled matters such as small claims hearings, landlord and tenant disputes, contractual issues, insolvency hearings and mortgage possession proceedings.
