Michael Jones Acts for the Insurers of the Manchester Arena in the Civil Claims Arising from the 2017 Bombing 


Michael Jones represented the insurers of the Manchester Arena at the approval hearing of 16 cases in which the Claimants lacked litigation capacity, in claims arising from the terrorist suicide bombing on 22 May 2017. The 16 approvals were heard by HHJ Bird sitting in the Manchester District Registry on 17 and 18 December 2025 and were part of a group of 352 cases arising out of the bombing, which were part of a confidential global settlement contributed to by the insurers of the Manchester Arena, Showsec International Limited, British Transport Police and Greater Manchester Police.
