Mussadak Mirza Secure Significant Cost Saving for Insurer in the High Court

Mussadak Mirza represented the Defendant insurer in a contested application hearing in the King’s Bench Division of the High Court of Justice.

The Claimant was seeking substantial costs on the standard basis in a fixed cost portal claim, due to ‘exceptional circumstances’ (CPR 45.29J).

The costs related to a traumatic brain injury claim, with multiple medical experts, which settled for a six-figure sum prior to allocation to the multi track. Mussadak successfully saved his insurer client over £100K in costs. Mussadak was instructed by Jonathan Mullins of HF.
