      Gareth joined Cobden House Chambers in 2022 and is a personal injury practitioner.

      Prior to being called to the Bar, Gareth practiced as a solicitor since 2012, having trained at one of the leading Claimant personal injury law firms in the country, before specialising in large loss and catastrophic injury claims for major insurer clients at a pre-eminent international law firm.

      During his time as a solicitor, Gareth undertook the full spectrum of personal injury work, defending claims of a broad value, to include those of the highest value. Gareth has a wide range of experience across road traffic accident, employers' liability and public liability cases, advising on all aspects of policy, procedure, liability and quantum. He developed expertise in advising on a variety of injury types, including amputations, chronic pain, paralysis, brain injuries and fatal claims.

      Gareth has a particular interest in policy indemnity issues, regularly advising insurers as to their statutory liability arising out of the Road Traffic Act

      1988.

      Gareth accepts instructions from Claimants and Defendants to attend interlocutory hearings, conferences with lay and professional clients as well as trials on both the fast and multi-track. He also accepts instructions to draft pleadings, applications and provide advice in terms of liability, prospects and quantum.

      Gareth is happy to consider cases on a conditional fee basis, where appropriate. Gareth is always happy to discuss matters before the receipt of instructions.
